Halcyon Standard Schnauzer Champions

Halcyon Standard Schnauzers have been fortunate to have bred many wonderful and lovely dogs, some of which achieved American Kennel Club Championships, Grand Championships, and Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) International Championships. Here are photographs of some of our Champions for Halcyon.

Halcyon Grand Champions

The American Kennel Club launched the Grand Champion title in 2010 to provide exhibitors with additional opportunities to compete with dogs that have obtained their Championships. By the end of 2010, Halcyon Standard Schnauzers had five Grand Champions, and more Halcyon bred dogs are currently competing for this prestigious title.

Halcyon International Champions

An International Championship is issued by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI), the international federation of kennel clubs. To become eligible for the title of International Beauty Champion, dogs must have obtained four Certificats d’Aptitude au Championnat Interantional de Beaute (CACIB) in three different countries, under three different judges. There must be a minimum period of one year and one day between the first and last CACIB.

Halcyon American Champions

Dog shows (conformation events) are sanctioned by the American Kennel Club to evaluate breeding stock. The dog's conformation (overall appearance and structure), an indication of the dog's ability to produce quality puppies, is judged. To achieve an American Kennel Club championship , the dog must accumulate fifteen points, including two majors (wins of three, four or five points) awarded by at least three different judges, to become an American Kennel Club "Champion of Record."
