Welcome To the Wonderful World of Halcyon Standard Schnauzers

Halcyon Standard Schnauzers began in 1989, with a litter of Standard Schnauzer pups that produced our first American Champion, Halcyon’s Charade, and our first International Champion, Halcyon’s Camille. Since that time, Halcyon Standard Schnauzers have produced over 30 American Champions, 5 Grand Champions, 3 International Champions, and the 2008 World Dog Show Junior Winner.

Halcyon Standard Schnauzers is a recognized hobby kennel with emphasis on the Standard Schnauzer as a healthy family pet. We have been fortunate to have so many wonderful families love and cherish their Halcyon Standard Schnauzer family companions. For all, their Halcyon Standard Schnauzer is their “dog of a lifetime.”

About Standard Schnauzers

The Standard Schnauzer is a medium sized working breed, sturdy and athletic. It is the original of the three Schnauzer breeds. The Standard Schnauzer is sociable and affectionate, with a great sense of humor. The Standard Schnauzer excels as an excellent family companion and loves children. It is naturally protective, very intelligent but can also be strong willed. Early and consistent training is strongly suggested. The Standard Schnauzer responds very well to positive motivation training. It is outstanding as a working dog excelling in conformation, obedience, agility, tracking, herding, and therapy.
